Try Craigslist. I found my dream job on this site and was just hired. I had little success with HotJobs, Aol or careerbuilder. Also try sending resumes out to companies that may not be hiring. You never know when a position opens up so be the first in line. Good luck. I hope you find a great job soon!
References :
Ever thought about "free-lancing" and consulting? Make 50 copies of your resume, pick as many companies as you would like to work for, and then pound the pavement. Get into the HR office and take the HR Director out for a cup of coffee. If you get them off their turf you can make the experience more personable, less intimidating and really get to know what makes them tick. I did that in Dallas a few years ago, and got 100% call backs on 83 different resumes I passed around. Three of the offers were for management, including a national hamburger chain, the Boy Scout Store, and s national shoe chain. Wow! Talk about results. I did it on a bet, and I discovered a great trick that helped me think on my feet, rather than sitting on my butt in some cramped little office...I was able to be myself when I was out of the HR Office...
