Marketing for Online Business

I’m doing a business studies presentation which is in for tomorrow. Basically what I need to do is choose a car and come up with a market strategies which will help it cope better in a recession. I was thinking of doing a fiat 500 but I’m not entirely sure at the moment. So if you have any ideas for market stategies which will help a car survive better in the recession they would be greatly appreciated.

You’ve got to assume your customers are going to be value-seeking to the maximum during a recession, so I would start with something that has a proven repair record, good fuel economy and something that retains its value. Usually the three will go hand in hand.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you will likely see an increase in the number of young buyers in relation to your overall buying population. Young buyers typically have not built up large retirement savings and are more "spur of the moment" buyers than middle aged folks, thus making them less susceptible to cutting back. The double-edged sword with young buyers is that the vehicle has to be somewhat stylish and cheap.

Based on the record-breaking sales of the Fiat 500 during our current recession, I would agree that it is quite a good choice.
